At the corners of the loop the wire may need to slip thru the insulator when the wind moves the trees. A 1" PVC coupling allows this to happen. A 1/4" cut in the coupling allows it to placed over the wire. A loop (8") was put in the rope using a bowline knot. The loop goes over the insulator twice before the other end also passes thru the loop then the long end goes over the wheel in the pully and then to the chain.
